Manfred Stader

Side walk chalk isn’t only for children, it is also for adults.   Drawing on the ground can be a lot fun, a pass time that I enjoyed.  Drawing little dogs, faces, rainbows, ice cream cones and everything else that surrounded us.  It was a way for a kid could draw on something other than paper, and not get in trouble for it.  It was exciting.  In some cases that feeling doesn’t go away even as adults.  There are some artists who can creat beautiful sidewalk drawings using sidewalk chalk.  Manfred Stader was excellent using chalk.  He expanded even further than just the sidewalk.  He likes to draw on a number of surfaces, outside and inside.  He has even done some drawings on walls.  His specialty is 3D drawings.  Some of them are truly amazing.  They look so real.  It’s hard to believe that it is just a drawing.  Take a look for your self.

Flash drives

Flash drives are now an important item to have in this world.  Almost everyone has at least one.  Some people have multiple flash drives, and now a days it seems an essential.  You need a drive, to back up your first drive, which backs up your computer.  But unlike the past flash drives, they aren’t plain and boring.  Today they can come in all colors, shapes, and sizes.  And some don’t even look like flash drives.  Now they can make them into anything.  Some of them are really cute and others are really cool.  People can get a flash drive that fits their personality, instead of getting an everyday one.  It makes life a little more colorful.

Unique Architecture

Architecture is a great thing.  The Earth is consumed with it.  From small homes to souring skyscrapers.  Architecture can not only tell something about the owner, but it can also tell something about the designer.  By the color, shape, size, and use of the space.  Some places being more unique than others.  I found some interesting places from all over the world.  They all seem to take on a personality of their own.  The outside can sometimes reflect what you will see on the inside, but other times that is not the case.  Here are a few images of building I found interesting.

The Invisible Man

I found a cool artist named Liu Bolin who seems to be a master of his skill. He is known as an invisible man.  Is artwork is an optical illusion.  He tries to blend into his surrounding like a cameleon.  That was actually his inspiration behind his art.  Animals that could blend into their surroundings.  He paints himself to blend in, and some of them are so well done it takes a moment to spot him.  Here are some of the images he has created.  Some of them are truly amazing.  See if you can spot Liu in all of the pictures.

Media control room

On Friday evening there was an event at Elmbrook church in Brookfield.  It was the 5th anual “Evening with the Briscoes”.  The event was about worship, fellowship, and teaching with Stuart, Jill and Pete Briscoe.  This was a large event to spread God message further than ever before.  With the internet, the Briscoes are ale to reach a far greater audience.

My dad was one of the camera men for the event, so I got to go along.  While I was there I got to see what happened behind the scenes.  For the event there are three cameras.  I got to watch the event from the media control room.  From there I could see the live feed from all three cameras, what was being aired on the internet, and what was being shown on the mega screen the audiense was able to see.

Controlling part of the media control room was a shader.  They control the lighting from the camera feed.  Either lightening or darkening the shots, depending on what it needs.  The second person being the director who also controlled the switch board.  It was a fun thing to watch and at times went very fast.  I got to observe for about an hour and then I was given the opertunity to try out the switch board.  Having to cut the three cameras during the sermins.  Then fading during the music.  I also got to listen to the directer tell the camera men what shots he wanted.  All in all it was an interesting a fun experience.
